Chetana Charitable Trust grew from the educational and service legacy of Sri Venkateswara bala Kuteer, founded in 1965 by Dr.N. Manga Devi and Ms.G. Prabhavathi. In 1992, this vision expanded into Nandana Graameena Paathasala to provide free educational and essential support to rural children.

Founding of Sri Venkateswara Bala Kuteer
Founded by Dr. N Manga Devi and Ms. Prabhavathi in a rented building at 3/1 Brodiepet, Guntur, with a single child.
Expansion to Syamalanagar
Inauguration of the school building at Syamalanagar, with the foundation stone laid on 25-10-1974.
The Big Transformation
Following a meeting with Mother Teresa, the trust refocused on serving the needy, leading Foundation of Chetana – A Multi-Purpose Rural Project
Master Plan of Chetana
Sri Shankaran IAS and Smt Chayaratan IAS unveiled the Master Plan
Nandana Grameena Paathasala
Established to provide free education, uniforms, books, and mid-day meals to underprivileged rural children.
Ushodaya English Medium School
Inaugurated on 28-12-1995 to provide quality education at an affordable fee for rural children.
School on Wheels
School on Bus-Our mobile school initiative Launched to reach the doorsteps of rural children and bring dropouts back to mainstream education.
