About Chetana Charitable Trust: Empowering Futures

“Those who are adept at giving neither tire nor retire.”

Our Foundation and Core Philosophy

The Chetana Charitable Trust was formally established in 1998, founded by the dedicated social servants Dr. N. Manga Devi and G. Prabhavathi. Their vision, inspired by the selfless service of figures like Albert Shwedzer and Mother Teresa, is rooted in the conviction that “children can be molded to become noble citizens through good education”.

They pioneered the trust with a philosophy of self-reliance and dedication, believing that “for doing something good we need not depend on anyone” and that dedicated work would inspire others to contribute.

Comprehensive Community Initiatives

The Trust operates a multipurpose rural project focused on comprehensive community welfare, encompassing a full ecosystem of services outlined in the Chetana Master Plan. Our central mission provides Security to the child, Guidance to the young, and Solace to the old.

  • Educational Wings: The campus includes the USHODAYA E.M. School, ANKUR Pre-Primary School, a B.Ed. College, and a library (DEEPTI).
  • Child Welfare & Rehabilitation: This includes the Children’s Village (HEAL) which supports abandoned, orphaned, and destitute children, and the School for Child Labor (NANDANA), which provides study and a mid-day meal to marginalized children.
  • Vocational and Senior Care: We offer skill development through the KRISHI Vocational Training Center and provide accommodation and support for the elderly at SANDHYARAGA (Home for Senior Citizens).
